TransAlike is my way to connect with trans* and LGBQ people all around the world - to share ideas, tell stories, and create new opportunities. I use my own story in hopes of opening the doors of "closets" society has forced our communities into. When I visit junior high schools and high schools, I discuss with students and teachers how to support each other through the phases of identity development. At the college level, I host workshops and promote activities that deal with such topics as gender identity, gender expression, self care, and religion vs. sexuality
TransAlike was created in 2015, after I decided to make big moves when it came to my transition.
The system as it exists was not built for us, but I have faith we can obtain our freedom, and rights as humans to live the life we want for us and the ones to come.
